Intelius’ Information Services
Customers avail of Intelius’ services to pry into other people’s lives. Some have very good causes for it, while others could only have very insipid reasons. Regardless, Intelius practice perfectly legal means in acquiring critical information that its clients can utilize.
In the freedom-loving nation where it is based, Intelius is only doing something any democratic person could have done on their own: accessing public agencies for public records. For this reason, Intellius is not any more culpable for spying than someone rummaging through the yellow pages is a spy.
Listed telephone numbers are just some of the types of records parlayed by Intelius. Intelius does not so much request for public records as passively getting them; it has a massive database of public records, which amalgamates those of courthouses, administrative offices of the courts (AOC), department of corrections (DOC), census offices, tax bureaus, telephone directories, and more. Intelius has a staggering 250 million public records.
Besting hundreds of other companies in the US, it spirited away the 2006 Stevie Award for Best New Company, and nearly repeated the feat for the 2007 Most Innovative Company Stevie.
Naveen Jain, Intellius’ founder, has yet to take the company public. Intelius is doing well as a private firm, the revenues in it ever burgeoning. It has consecutively ranked within Inc. 500, a list of America’s fastest-growing companies, since 2007. Additionally, it is part of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for North American companies in technology, media, life sciences, and telecommunications.
Jain, who is the company’s CEO, managed the 1995 launch of The Microsoft Network (MSN). He comes from India. A prolific humanitarian, he and his wife have donated to the country’s charities, like Child Rights and You, which is based in Mumbai, and the Indian American Education Foundation, in the US.
